GIFT TO RECEIVE 0NE MILLION DOLLARS
Mr. George W. Kutsunis and Linda A. Kutsunis have planned a $1,000,000 donation to GIFT - Geneseo Is For Tomorrow. One quarter of the income from this fund will be used for annual scholarships for seniors at Geneseo High School. An advisory committee made up of Kutsunis family members will determine the remainder of the distributions. The gift, part of the Kutsunis' estate plan, provides for funds to become available at their death.
For forty years George and Linda Kutsunis have been dedicated to providing exceptional customer service. At their retail businesses, Four Seasons and Pegasus, employees give 110 percent to make customers feel special, setting the businesses apart from their competitors. "By structuring our gift in the manner in which we have, both employees and customers will benefit from this gift," said Linda Kutsunis. "Our objectives is to improve the quality of life in Geneseo and help it grow and prosper."
They hope other residents will gain an understanding of the ease of setting up such a legacy, and the significance of doing so, knowing the financial impact from this one donation will have a positive impact on the community forever. "Geneseo is a wonderful place to live and work. Linda and I feel a strong obligation to give back to our community," said George Kutsunis. "Our gift will help Geneseo be all that it can be."
"This endowment of GIFT is a confirmation that GIFT can help help generous people make a lasting difference for Geneseo," said Katie Andrios, GIFT President. "The scholarships and grants from the Kutsunis' foundation will help generations of Geneseo residents."
The GIFT Foundation provides services to donors by helping them meet their philanthropic goals today and in the future. "The people we worked with to set up this foundation were very professional, provided thoughtful guidance and made the entire experience pleasant and fulfilling," concluded Mrs. Kutsunis.
