RICHMOND HILL PLAYERS GIVE GIFT FOUNDATION TWO THUMBS UP
GENESEO—The Geneseo Is For Tomorrow Foundation (GIFT) recently presented the Richmond Hill Players a $1,000 grant. John Vandewoestyne, the Players’ vice president, noted that this grant will help offset operating and capital improvement costs. “We can’t say thanks enough, for this generous contribution,” he said. “We run about a $40,000 a year operating budget, plus capital improvements. Every little bit helps.” Other funding comes from loyal patrons, the box office, a grant from the Illinois Arts Council and other sources.
“We are pleased to be able to help the Richmond Hill group,” says Katie Andrios, GIFT board chair. “The work they do not only brings quality entertainment to the citizens of our small town, but exposes what Geneseo has to offer to residents of surrounding communities, too.”
Andrios goes on to note that organizations like the Richmond Hill Players are the type the GIFT Foundation was created to support. For more information on GIFT go to the Foundation’s web site: www.geneseogift.org.
